Lina Swarovski

Photo of Lina Swarovski

Lina Swarovski was born in Moscow in 1968 and has lived in Tyrol for over 25 years.

Her love of painting has accompanied her throughout her life.

Before Lina found her calling as a contemporary artist, however, she completed medical training and worked as a doctor in the USA and in Tyrol, Austria.

Inspired by the healing effect of art therapy on her oncology patients, Lina realized that the best medicine for her - both personally and professionally - was art. She swapped scalpels and stethoscopes for palette knives and paintbrushes.

Lina took part in courses, workshops and academies in Russia, Italy and Austria.

Her works celebrate the world around her, especially the Tyrolean landscapes, culture and

people.

With subtle allusions to her personal journey and subtle references to famous artists from the various countries she has lived in, Lina's works - even in her still lifes - radiate the warmth and complexity of the human condition, with the same luminous, complex and soulful energy that one feels when one encounters her.
Lina's artworks hang on the walls of private collectors around the world.
